Privacy & what we collect

This site collects a small amount of **anonymous usage data** for one reason: to

see which content is useful and make the site better. Nothing else.

What we collect

  1. Pages you view and links you click — including which page on this site you came from.
  2. How long you actively read a page, how far you scroll, and which sections hold your attention.
  3. A coarse device class only: **mobile or desktop**, your **operating-system family** (e.g. iOS, Android, Windows, macOS) and **browser family** (e.g. Safari, Chrome, Firefox). Nothing more specific than that.
  4. A random, anonymous **session id** — a fresh UUID made in your browser for this visit. It is not tied to your identity and is gone when you close the tab.

What we do NOT collect

- **No cookies.** Not one.

- **No IP address, name, email, or account** — nothing that identifies you as a person.

- **No fingerprint.** We never store your full browser User-Agent string or fine version numbers — only the coarse families listed above, which millions of people share.

- **No third parties.** Your data is never sent to or shared with any other company. No Google Analytics, no ad networks, no external trackers of any kind.

Where it goes

Everything is processed and stored on **HyperfocusBear's own servers**. The data never leaves our infrastructure and is never sold, shared, or handed to anyone else.

What's stored on your device

- A random **session id** in `sessionStorage` — cleared automatically when you close the tab.

- A single **"notice dismissed" flag** in `localStorage`, set only if you dismiss the privacy notice, purely so it doesn't reappear on every page. That flag is the only thing we keep on your device.
